Joan, Saskia, Zita, and Lynn perform routine surgeries (spay and neuter) and soft tissue surgeries (exploratory surgery, removal of foreign objects, bladder stone removal etc), and Joan also enjoys performing orthopedic surgeries.

We have performed a variety of surgical procedures here at Shamrock, including spaying and neutering rabbits, spaying an iguana, multiple fracture repairs of wild birds for MountainAire Avian Rescue Society, and of course removal of masses and lumps.

If your companion requires a surgical procedure that is beyond the training of either of these vets, we will refer you to one of a number of surgical specialists. There is a surgical specialist that is often able to travel and work here at Shamrock, however there are times that a specialist in Vancouver may be recommended.
